Unveiling of a plaquette at Hotel "Sionshof" by Major ret(rd) A. D.Bestebreurtje (Informal). The plaquette was made by the Nymegen sculptor Charles Hammes Jr.

Welcome to the Guests of Honour, Military and Civilian Authorities by the Town-council at the Guild Hall. Presentation of the novelette: "Five Graves at Nymegen" by Eric Baume. During the Welcome the Foreign Military Bands will present
themselves at 12.00 in front of the Town Hall, viz.

1. Band of the U.S.A. VII Army

2. Grenadier Guards (Corps of Drums)

3. Royal Canadian Engineer Band

13.00 p.m. Lunch in Restaurant "Pays Bas" Batavierenweg.  
14.30 p.m. Dropping of 60 American Airbornes in the "Ooypolder".
