B COMPANY, 1ST BATTALION ca. 1975, FORT BRAGG, NC

The Company Commander was Steven Marks (right behind the Guidon and bearer).  His father was the Asst Corp Commander at the time. SSgt B. Remington (front row second from the left), 2nd Lt Lucidi, Company XO (third from left).

The Company had just returned from the jungle school in Panama (note the 'Jungle Expert' streamer on the Guidon).  It is believed that Lieutenant General  Henry (Gunfighter) Emerson was the Corp Commander at the time.

Well known for his tactics during the Korean and Vietnam wars, General Emerson served as commander of the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg from July 1975 to June 1977.
