Encircled
by autograph seekers, Harry Hudec is pleased to comply

Her Fondest Wish
was to be photographed with veterans and perhaps she got more than she had hoped for.  Dick O'Donnell (Vietnam) stands at left with wife Tsugi. Bob Speers (WW-II and Korea) is at far right while his grandson Josh French (Iraq) is at the rear.

Re-enactors
were prevalent in the crowd as well.  In fact, we would soon realize they were everywhere we went in the Ste. Mere Elise area
A children’s choir sang the French national anthem.
They were followed by a choral group called “The Children of 1944” (adults who as children experienced the invasion).  The group sang the American national anthem in French.

Mini Museum
in the lobby of the ex-hotel cum town hall contains many mementos from the WW-II era and souvenirs given by veterans during past visits

Anniversary Flag
is ringed by images of the flags of Allied nations. [l-r]

Top row: France, U.S.A., Poland and  Norway

Bottom row: Canada,  Belgium, United Kingdom, Netherlands

Floral Tribute
was placed on this monument by an someone that wanted to express their feelings in a simple but touching manner
