(NATO reporting name for the MIG-15)
outclassed straight-winged U.S. F-80 Shooting Star and F-84 Thunderjet fighters.
Things changed after the swept-wing F-86 was introduced. The MIG had a better thrust-to-weight ratio and a higher ceiling but F-86 pilot skills made the difference with losses of 78 aircraft compared to 792 MIG-15s that were downed

FJ-2 Fury
a carrier based version of the F-86 Sabre swept wing fighter jet

Tupolev Tu-2
Soviet dive bomber
(SDB) had speed similar to a single-seat fighter and was comparable to the German Junkers Ju-88
