II — AWARD OF. THE BRONZE STAR MEDAL, OAK LEAF CLUSTER:

Under the provisions of AR 600-45, as amended, and pursuant authority contained in letter 200.6 (AG) Headquarters XVIII Corps Airborne, dated 31 August 1944, and Circular No. 2, Headquarters First United States Army, dated 4 January 1945, the Bronze Star Medal having been previously awarded, an Oak Leaf Cluster is awarded to the following named individual:

PETER L. KELLY, 0-1322926, First Lieutenant, 508th Parachute Infantry. For meritorious service in connection with military operations against the enemy for the period 17 September 1944 to 10 November 1944 near ***, HOLLAND. First Lieutenant KELLEY was Battalion ;Supply Officer, First Battalion. DurŽing the entire operation in The NETHERLANDS he worked with great zeal and energy to provide an adequate resupply of all battalion units. Many supply missions by First Lieutenant KELLEY and his section were accomplished despite heavy enemy artillery and small arms fire, which he did not permit to delay the progress of the moving of necessary items to all units. By personal superŽvision he was able to direct the operation of his section and to secure any equipment needed to perform his battalion mission. The exemplary conduct of First Lieutenant KELLY enabled him to perform an important service to his battalion and to his regiment. Entered military service from CLEVELAND, OHIO.
