GETS BRONZE STAR, AIDED
4 IN HELICOPTER RESCUE

SAIGON, South Viet Nam, Dec. 10 (AP) - Lt. Col. Foy Rice, Norman, Okla., has been awarded the Bronze Star for the rescue of four helicopter crewmen shot down in the central highlands 240 miles north of Saigon, the Army announced yesterday.
Rice, commander of the seventeenth Combat Aviation Group's Fifty-second Helicopter Battalion, dropped 100 feet by helicopter hoist to assist the crewmen, two of them seriously injured, into the helicopter.
Viet Cong were known to be in the rescue area, but they did not attack, the Army account said.
