| GO 19. SECTION III, AWARD OF THE BRONZE STAR MEDAL
			 AURELIUS M. VENEGAS, 18216790, Private, 508th Parachute 
			Infantry. For heroic conduct in action on 2 October 1944 near ***, HOLLAND. 
			Private VENEGAS was an acting machine gun squad leader, LMG Platoon, 
			Headquarters Company, Second Battalion, when an enemy attack reached 
			the forward position of the Second Battalion MLR. Private VENEGAS led 
			his LMG squad to a position in support of Company “F”, which was attempting 
			to restore the battalion forward positions. Moving through heavy machine 
			gun and artillery fire, Private VENEGAS was wounded as he placed his 
			gun in action. Disregarding his own wounds he remained with his gun 
			and delivered effective fire upon the enemy, assisting Company “F” in 
			repelling the attack, and restoring the battalion forward positions. 
			Entered military service from CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
