Corp. Glenn Eby, 22, paratrooper, was wounded in the invasion of France, captured by the Germans, later released, and is now in a hospital somewhere in England. his parents. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Eby, 210 SW First Ave., learned this week m a letter written by their son July 1. He also wrote of his experience to his wife. who is working in an ammunition plant at Elkton, Md.
They do not know the nature of his injuries. He reports that he lost 15 pounds during the period of his capture and that the enemy took everything he had except his ring and wallet. In his V-mail letter, he said that he returned to England June 30. They presume that his release from imprisonment came when the Allies captured that part of France where he was held.
