CPL CHICK C. EITELMAN
AWARD OF PURPLE HEART, 2ND OLC

Sky Trooper Injured

   Cpl Chick Eitelman, paratrooper, was wounded in action January 5 in Belgium and has been removed to a base hospital, his mother Mrs. Jennie Eitelman, 1534 sd. E. Oak street, has been notified.  Cpl Eitelman already wears the purple heart with one oak leaf cluster for wounds received in two previous engagements.  Entering service in 1942, Eitelman went overseas in June 1943, and has taken part in  campaigns in North Africa, Sicily and D-day action in Normandy, France.
   He attended Buckman grade school and was employed by the Columbia Distributing Company here in civilian life.
