SSGT PHILIP GANTZ

SSgt Philip Gantz was first listed by the National Jewish Welfare Board showing that he was reported as wounded in action in the War Department Release dated 9/8/44, page 2538.  The date of his wound is not shown but the War Department release was issued after Normandy and before the Holland campaign began, hence the event was un June or July 1944,

A  second National Jewish Welfare Board record shows that his awards included the Purple Heart and the Presidential Citation.
