SGT  ROBERT LENELL

Chicagoans Hear Son Is Wounded
   Sgt Robert Lenell, 22, a member of a paratroop unit which landed in France in the early hours of D-Day and which has been cited for heroism, was wounded in action in Holland Oct. 27, his parents have been notified.
   Sgt Lenell is the son of Mr.. and Mrs. Samuel Lenell of 3139 N. Linder av. and has been overseas a year. He has been in the army since March 1942. A brother, Raymond, seaman 2d class, is in the Navy in Hawaii.

Jumpmaster note: Norb Studelska later stated that he found his squad leader, Lenell, and Pvt Jodie Parsons in their foxhole. Both had been badly wounded in the legs by a tree burst above their foxhole.
