LT. LLOYD L. POLETTE - AWARD OF PURPLE HEART

1st. Lt. Lloyd L. Polette, as was true with all men who fell on the battlefield, was awarded the Purple Heart for his fatal wound.

   The document shown here was sent to Lt. Polette's widow, Eleanor. and contains messages from not only the Secretary of War but also the President of the United States.
