PVT WALLACE E. POULTON

Pvt Wallace E. Poulton was listed in the Morning Report as "seriously injured in action as of 7 June 1944",  perhaps having suffered a bad landing in the invasion jump. He was evacuated to a field hospital and then transported to the 91st General Hospital in Oxford, England.

On 20 August 1944, Pvt Poulton was seated as #9 of 20 patients on a TWA flight from Prestwick, Scotland to Mitchel Field, NY.  at 20 years of age he was one of the three youngest aboard the aircraft.
