The
National Jewish Welfare Board recorded the fact that Allan H. Stein
had been wounded.
The actual date of the wound is not stated, only that the War
Department had released the information on 6 March 1945.
However the Company Morning Report for 1 Jan 45 reports that had
been "slightly wounded in action" and was in an unknown hospital.
He was also released from assignment to the Company and placed on
detached status. all these actions were common to ensure the unit
coluld maintain its assigned strength.
