ROBERT E. RICHMOND
Purple Heart Award

AWARDED PURPLE HEART   Paratrooper Pvt. Robert E. Richmond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Richmond, 521 East Philadelphia street, who was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received June 26 in France. In a letter from the War department to his parents they were today informed that he was returned to duty Aug. 9. Pvt. Richmond was inducted November, 1942 and was stationed at Camp Mackall, N. C. He was sent overseas in January of this "year. He has two brothers in the service, Pvt. Albert Richmond, now serving in northern Canada and ' William Richmond, Seaman 1c, stationed with the Seabees in the South Pacific.
