CPL HOMER W. LOWRANCE - WOUNDED

Homer W. Lowrance
Wounded In Holland

Mr. ad Mrs. D. W. Lowrance, Route 1, have been informed by official notice that their son, Cpl Homer W. Lowrance was wounded in action in Holland, November 24.
Corporal Lowrance has been in the service since December 3, 1942 and has been overseas since February 1944.  He serves with the Army Parachute Infantry and has participated in several invasions in the European theatre of operations since D-Day.
The paratrooper, now in an Army hospital in England, has been awarded the Purple Heart.  He is reported to be making normal improvement.
Prior to entering the service he attended Sullivan High school and was employed by the Cleveland Tractor Company, Cleveland, Ohio.

Note:  It is known that Cpl Lowrance was transferred to the 502nd PIR from Service Company, 508th although the date is not yet known.   Because of that and various inconsistencies in the news article, it is impossible to determine which unit he was in at the time of this wounding.
