EDWARD W. ABERSOLD

   Edward W. Abersold, 80, of Enon Valley, PA, passed away the evening of July 13, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Born on January 24, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Finch Abersold. 
   Edward had served his country as a member of U.S. Army.    Edward had worked as a sheet metal worker for A & B Mechanical. He also was self-employed as a farmer.
As a farmer, he loved taking care of his horses. He also enjoyed dancing.
   Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 27 years, the former Helen Greiner, whom he married in 1989. In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his children, 12 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
   Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday at 6:00pm at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Dennis Bupp. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will conduct military rites at the funeral home.
