RONALD H. ARMOUR

Grave marker for Ronald H. Armour in Block 25, Section A Trail C Grave158 of Saint Gertrude's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Colonia (Middlesex) county, New Jersey.

Ronald enlisted in the Army at Newark, NJ on 27 April 1942 at the age of 32.

On 16 October 1942 Tec/5 Armour was transferred from the 507th PIR as a cadre member to Service Company, 508th PIR.

He was promoted to the grade of Tec/4 on 24 February 1944. 

Tec 4 Armour participated in the invasion of France on 6 June 1944 and was wounded in action that same day.

Based on his grave marker he was further promoted to Technical Sergeant prior to his discharge on 8 January 1946.

His military decorations include the Purple Heart and the Bronze Service Arrowhead device for participation in Normandy assault.
