Grave marker for Curtis L. Aydelott in the Gravel
Hill Cemetery, Oak Grove (Bowie county), Texas.
Curtis enlisted in the Army at Ft Sill, OK on 11 February 1942.
On 6 August 1943, T4 Aydelott transferred to Hq 2mnd,
5087th PIR from the Parachute School, Ft Benning. GA.
However on 2 September 1954 he was transferred from
the 508th, destination unknown. Wherever he went, he performed
through WWII and was ultimately discharged with the grade of SSgt on 5
October 1`945. |
