REX L. BABB

BABB, CSM. Retired Rex Lloyd, Age 89 of Clarksville. Jan. 31, 2009. Service 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, NEAL-TARPLEY

Grave marker for Rex L. Babb in Riverview Cemetery, Clarksville (Montgomery county), Tennessee.

Rex first enlisted in the Army on 22 July 1942 and volunteered for parachutist duty.

On 8 March 1945 Sgt Babb was transferred from the 11th Reinforcement Depot to to Company E, 508th PIR.

TSgt Babb (see line 5) sailed from Southampton, England  aboard the Queen Mary on 28 December 1945 and arrived on in New York city Harbor on 3 January 1946.

He re-enlisted at Ft Dix, NJ on 18 January 1946 and continued serving in the Army until his retirement as a Command Sergeant Major.
