Forrest Bahr, 62, of 524 Brent- wood Ct., Port Washington, died Apr. 29 at St. Mary’s
Hospital-Ózaukee, Port Washington. The World War II paratrooper had been distribution equipment coordinator for Universal Foods of Milwaukee until he retired in 1984.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 2, at St. Peter of Alcantara Church, Port Washington, with Father Paul Lippert
officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Washington.
Mr. Bahr was born in Janesville on Jan, 14, 1926, the son of Elgin and Nellie Harrison Bahr. On June 2, 1951, he and Donna Olszewski were married in Milwaukee. The couple moved to Port Washington in 1963.
He is survived by his wife, Donna, three daughters, Christine Denzin, Port Washington, Karen Bahr, Wauwatosa, and one son,
Thomas of Port Washington.
He is also survived by two grandchildren, a brother, Elgin Bahr. Jr. Janesville, and two sisters, Carol Schoeberle, Janesville and
Yvonne Pope, Orlando, Fla. His parents and a sister preceded him in death.
The family has suggested memorials to the Heart fund.
Poole Funeral Home, Port Washington, handled the arrangements.

Pfc Bahr was transferred from the 101st Airborne Division
to Hq 2nd, 508th PIR per. paragraph 8, Special Order 185 Headquarters
508th Parachute Infantry Regiment dated 18 October 1945. He
arrived and joined the company on on 22 October 1945.
Pfc Bahr was discharged from the Army at the Fort
Sheridan Separation Center in May/June 1946.
