FURMAN DELMUS BAILEY

Grave marker of Furman D. Bailey, Company C, 508th veteran, in the Earthman Memory Gardens. Baytown (Harris County), Texas
 
Furman enlisted in the Army in Houston, TX on 28 September 1942 and volunteered for parachutist duty.  He joined Company C at Camp Blanding and remained with the company until he was captured by the Germans on D-Day.

He was returned to military control from Stalag 7B Memmingen Bavaria 48-10 on/about 15 May 1945;
