ALBERT A. BALES

Grave marker for Albert A. Bales in the Christus Plot, Lot 78, Space B4 of the White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita (Sedgwick county), Kansas.

Albert enlisted in the Army at Fort Leavenworth, KS on 26 March 1943 and volunteered for parachutist duty.

On 28 September 1944, Pfc Bales was transferred from 82nd Airborne HQ to service Company, 508th PIR but on 19 October 1944 was sent to the 16th Replacement Depot.

Following the war he was employed at Beechcraft Aircraft Corporation in Wichita.

The reason for Albert's untimely demise at age 27 is unknown.
