CORA ELIZABETH CRAPP

   NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the Fourteenth day of September, 1954, the Petition of FRANKLIN B CRAPP and CORA ELIZABETH CRAPP was filed in the above named Court praying for a Decree to change their names to FRANKLIN C. BLANFORD and CORA ELIZABETH BLANFORD.
    The Court has fixed the 22nd day of October, A D. 1954, at ten o’clock A. M., in the Court House, Doylestown. as a time and place for hearing the said Petition, when and where all persons interested may appear and show; cause if any they have, why the prayer; of the said Petition should not be granted. 121 Otter Street, Bristol, Pennsylvania JOHN LESLIE KILCOYNE, Attorney! cc 9 21 28: 10 5 12

Grave marker for Franklin C. Blanford in Section U, Grave 42, Beverly National Cemetery, Beverly (Burlington) county, New Jersey

 

On 16 October 1940 Franklin registered for the draft in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania under the family name of Crapp and was known by that name thought out his military career.

He enlisted in he Army  at Philadelphia, PA on 12 October 1942.

Pvt Crapp was transferred from the Reception Center New Cumberland, PA to Company A. 508th PIR on 29 October 1942

He was discharged at Fort Monmouth, NJ on 20 December1945.

  On 24 January 1950, Franklin submitted this application for the Pennsylvania WWII Veterans Bonus.  He was credited with 20 months of domestic duty and 18 months iof foreign service resulting in a $470 bonus award.
