ROY S. BARGER, age 84, of Eaton, Ohio died Wednesday,
February 4 , 2004 at Southview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born on June 9,
1919 in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of the late Roy E. & Hazel
Pearl (Engler) Barger. He retired in 1965 from
the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He was a member
of the American Legion Post # 215 in Eaton, Ohio. He had lived in the
Eaton area since 1970. Preceded in death by Sister: Phyllis S. Lodwick
Survived by his Grandson: Anthony W. Lawson of Eaton, Ohio. One Nephew.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 7, 2004 at
Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio 45320 with Rev.
Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00
P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Zion
Hills Cemetery, Columbiana, Ohio on Sunday, February 8, 2004- 2:00 P.M.
with Pastor John Bartholomew officiating and full military honors
conducted by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Condolences may be

Roy S. Barger
Roy S. Barger, 84, of Eaton, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at Southview
Hospital in Dayton.
Born June 9, 1919, in Youngstown, he was
the son of Roy E. and Hazel Pearl (Engler) Barger. He retired in
1965 from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service, and had lived in
the Eaton area since 1970. Mr. Barger was a member of American Legion Post
#215 of Eaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
and a sister, Phyllis S. Lodwick. Survivors include one grandson, Anthony W.
Lawson of Eaton; and a nephew.
Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 7, at
Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with the Rev. Lowell T. Spencer
officiating. Burial, with full military honors conducted by the U.S. Air
Force Honor Guard, was Sunday, Feb. 8, in Zion Hills Cemetery, Columbiana,
Ohio. Pastor John Bartholomew officiated. |
