BRYANT AL: J.T. Barkley, age 92, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013.

He was a loving husband who enjoyed traveling; was a U.S. WWII Veteran, and a recipient of numerous medals, including the Bronze Star; was retired from Combustion* with 31 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elix & Viola Barkley; two brothers Eunice and Houston Barkley; four sisters Effie Hughes, Jewell Ledbetter, Edith Hatfield, and Flossie Forester. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years Frances Joyce Barkley; several nephews and nieces; host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM EST Wednesday in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brothers Larry Walker and Guindal Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park with Military Honors.

Visitation will be held Wednesday 11AM EST ~ 1PM. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements by Moore Funeral Home, Bryant, Alabama.
