Edgar M. Barndollar
Edgar M. Barndollar, 46, of 947 Ventura
Ave.,, Anaheim, Calif, formerly of Charleroi, died yesterday about 8
p.m. after a brief illness.
Born in Charleroi on Feb. 10, 1919, he was a son of the late Edgar
and mnargar3etr Hackett Barndollar.
He attended Charleroi public schools and was graduated from
Charleroi Area High School in 1937.
A World War II veteran, Mr. Barndollar moved to California about 20
years ago.
He was a structural iron worker.
Surviving are his widow, Mary Hartman Barndollar; four sons,
William in the U.S. Army, Francis, Joseph and Edgar at home; five
daughters, Mary, Eileen, Sally, Barbara, Kathleen and Judy, all at home;
three brothers, David of Whitehall Borough, William of Charleroi R.D. 1
and Jack of north Charleroi.
A son, James, was killed in an auto accident in 1964.
Friends are being received at the Troutman Funeral Home, Buena
Park, Calif. service will be held Wednesday morning at St. Pius
Roman Catholic Church in Buena Park. |

Edgar
enlisted in the Army at New Cumberland, PA on 9 May 1944. He was
already married at the time.
Nothing else is known of
his service career other than the fact that he was awarded the Good
Conduct Medal on 31 July 1944 while assigned to Company I, 508th PIR. |
