354 of the Salisbury National Cemetery Annex, Salisbury (Rowan county),
North Carolina. Albert joined Company C, 508th
PIR in 1945, undoubtedly as a transferee from another unit, perhaps the
507th. His arrival, however, is undocumented in available Morning
Reports. He was awarded a Good Conduct Medal in September 1945
under General Order 41.
Pfc Barth remained in the Army and rose to the rank of
Sergeant First Class with service in the Korean Conflict. |
