John Beadling

John "Jack" Beadling, 82, of Harwick, Springdale Township, died Friday, May 19, 2006, in UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh.

Born Feb. 28, 1924, in Harwick to the late William Roy and Elizabeth Watson Beadling, he lived in Harwick all of his life.

During World War II he served in the Army with the 82nd Airborne Division.

Mr. Beadling was employed at Westinghouse Electric, Cheswick.

He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church and the Polish Club, Harwick, and VFW Post 9764, Cheswick. Mr. Beadling was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Helen Mae Holub Beadling; daughters, Judith (Terry) Kinard of Hilton Head Island, S.C., Jacqueline (David) Phanco of San Diego, and Donna (Bill) Diehm of Harwick; a son, Bill (Donna) Beadling of Saxonburg; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Hochbein.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St., Springdale. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Victory Church, followed by burial in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar.
