JOSEPH L. BEASLEY

Joseph L. Beasley

ST. AUGUSTINE -- Joseph L. Beasley, 81, of Prince Road, a Holly Hill resident from 1973 to 2001, died Monday at Governor's Health and Rehabilitation Center, Green Cove Springs.

Mr. Beasley, a retired Army major with 20 years of service, was one of the original Green Berets and a veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. Born in Hinton, W.Va., he moved to Holly Hill from Lexington, Ky. He graduated from Marshall University and the University of Kentucky. He was a member of the Ormond Beach Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Crete-Beasley; two stepsons, Michael Brown-Beasley, Cambridge, Mass., and Frank Brown Jr., Lexington; two stepdaughters, Julieanne Pogue, Los Angeles, and Patricia Lemaire, Lexington; and two grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Resource Center, 1400 N. Semoran Blvd., Suites A and B, Orlando, FL 32807. Cardwell & Maloney, Port Orange, is in charge.

Joseph Leonard Beasley [Sep 2, 1921 - 9 Dec, 2002], was a member of E Company.  He was an enlisted man during WW-II and retired as a Major.

Joseph lived in Saint Augustine, FL at the time of his death.

His cremains are contained in Arlington National Cemetery's Columbarium 5, Section X, Stack 12, Niche 3.
