WILLIAM W. BELL

Grave marker for William W. Bell in URN Garden, Section B, Row 5, Plot 22, Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River (Ocean county ), New Jersey.

William enlisted in the Army at Newark, NJ on 10 June 1943, he was assigned to Company A, 508th PIR at an undetermined time.

On 6 June 1944, Pvt Bell jumped into Normandy and may have come down in the area  between Piceauville and Chateau Hout.

He was taken prisoner that same day.

Pvt Bell was liberated from Stalag 7B Memmingen Bavaria 48-10 following the cessation of hostilities.
