BIAGIO "BEN" BENNARDI

BENNARDI Biagio "Ben", 87 of Fair Lawn, NJ formerly of Paterson, NJ on Saturday, February 27, 2010.

He was a truck driver for Marcal Paper in Elmwood Park for 30 years before retiring.

WWII veteran of the United States Army serving in the Paterson National Guard and the 82nd Airborne. Awarded a Bronze Star for his valor.

Beloved husband of the late Rose Ann (nee Belmont). Devoted father of Valerie Hart and her husband Kenneth and Phyllis Wramage-Walczak and her husband Stanley. Grandfather of Abbee Joan Brandsema, Thomas and Paul Wramage. Cherished great-grandfather of Hazel River Brandsema.

Service at DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting on Monday, 5-8 PM. www.delozito.com

Biagio "Ben" Bennardi, 87, of Fair Lawn, formerly of Paterson, died on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010.

Mr. Bennardi was a United States Army veteran of WWII, serving in the Paterson National Guard and the 82nd Airborne. He was awarded a Bronze Star for his valor.

He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Ann (nee Belmont); devoted father of Valerie Hart and her husband, Kenneth, and Phyllis Wramage-Walczak and her husband, Stanley; grandfather of Abbee Joan Brandsema and Thomas and Paul Wramage; cherished great-grandfather of Hazel River Brandsema.

Services will be at DeLuccia- Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ on Tuesday at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting will be on Monday from 5to 8 pm. www.delozito.com.

Grave marker for Biagio Bennardi in Section 11, Lot 10, Grave 68 of the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa (Passaic), New Jersey.

Cpl Bennardi's military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal and Bronze service Arrowhead awarded for participation in Normandy assault.
