RALPH L. BENNETT

Grave marker for Ralph L. Bennett in Beech Grove Cemetery, Pomeroy (Meigs county), Ohio.

 
 

Ralph registered for the draft in Pomeroy, OH on 27 June 1942.

Pvt Bennett first appears in a Service Company morning report on 7 November 1944.

He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for action during the campaign, 18 Dec 1944 to 20 Feb 1945.

He re-enlisted on 11 October 1945.

Ralph married Viola M. Hughes in Gallia, Ohio on 24 December 1945.

 

 

On 7 October 1951 Ralph died of a gunshot wound to his chest The circumstances are unknown but the death certificate indicated it was accidental.

He may have been divorced as it was his mother who was listed as the informant.
