ANTHONY BIANCO

Grave marker of Anthony Bianco in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Greensburg (Westmoreland county), Pennsylvania.

Anthony enlisted in ther Army at Greensburg, PA on 25 August 1942 and was assigned to Company B, 508th PIR

Pfc Bianco was wounded in action on 30 January 1945 in Belgium.  He was evacuated to a hospital and did not return to the regiment.

His military decorations include the Purple Heart and the Bronze Service Arrowhead device awarded for the Holland campaign and Airborne operations.
