RUFUS SYLVESTER BIDDY

Rufus Sylvester Biddy, 77, of Smyrna died Wednesday, February 26, 2003.

Services, 2 p.m. Friday, Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta. Burial, Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Atlanta.

Born in Cherokee County, Mr. Biddy retired from the General Motors Doraville plant with 34 years of service and was a World War II Army veteran.

Mr. Biddy was a member and past master of Bolton Lodge 416 F&AM in Atlanta. He was also a member of Royal Art Mason and Eastern Star, past worthy patron. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Biddy; two daughters, Rita Lynn Mulhair, and her husband, Al, and Gail Kirk all of Smyrna; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James W. and Fay Biddy of Roswell and Roy Eugene and Thelma Biddy of Winder; three sisters, Berta Burgess of Mansfield, Tex., Dorotha Brumbelow and her husband, Robert, of Norcross and Betty Hanners of Lavonia; four grandchildren, Myra Mawn, Tonya Tatham, Jason Mulhair and Amanda Harmsem; four great-grandchildren, Amber Tatham, Austin Tatham, Derek Harmsem, and Lola Harmsen; nieces and nephews.

Visitation, 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Marietta.
