HAROLD R. BLAIR
LAWRENCEBURG — Harold Ray Blair, 88, of Summertown, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at his residence.

Services were Sunday at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home with Jim Ledbetter officiating. Burial followed in the Ethridge Masonic Cemetery.

He was a native of Lawrence County, retired from Stauffer Chemical Corp after 31 years in the Supply Room, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII of the 508 Parachute Infantry, 82nd Airborne and Purple Heart Recipient. He was a Mason, a Magistrate for Lawrence County for many years, member of the V.F.W. American Legion and had 50 years service with the Lawrence County Democratic Party. He was preceded in death by parents James Harrison and Dora Gilliam Blair, wife Ollie Mae Honeycutt Blair, brother James "Bud" Blair and sister Mary Shaffer.

Survivors include son Harold J. Blair of Mt. Pleasant, brother Joe Blair of Summertown, sisters Virginia Pigg and Dorothy Henson of Summertown and Illene Taylor of Ethridge, two granddaughters, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
