   Marinette County [WI] prisoners are:

   Staff Sgt. Thomas El. Bannow, Cpl. Loren Bonde, Sgt John F. Erickson. Sgt John Holton, Cpl Loren F. Kalm, Pvt Revin J. LaFave, Staff Sgt. Aloysius Lambert, Pfc Fredric B. Miller, Staff Sgt. Robert Schultz, Cpl Adolph Stecko, Staff Sgt. Frederick M. Wald, Sgt. Earl Walk and Lt. James R. Brackbob, all of Marinette.

Loren enlisted in the Army at Milwaukee, WI on 5 October 1942.

On 23 October 1942, Pvt Bonde was transferred from Fort Sheridan, IL to Company C, 508th PIR.

Pfc Bonde was transferred to Service Company on 11 September 1943 on Special Duty to attend a truck driving school.  He returned to Company C on 25 October.

Pfc Bonde was reported missing in action on June 6, 1944 and was liberated from Stalag 2B a year later.

The news article at left lists him among the 14 POWs. from his home county.
