Joe registered for the draft in Indiana, PA on 5
November 1943. He was inducted into the Army at Altoona,
PA on 26 July 1944.
On 19 October 1945, Pfc Bondra
was transferred from the 101st Airborne Division to Company I,
508th PIR
He was discharged at Fort Dix,
NJ on 24 June 1946.
On 18 January 1950, Joe
submitted this application for the Pennsylvania WWII Veterans
bonus. He was credited with 7 months of domestic duty and
12 months of foreign service which entitled him to a $250 bonus, |
