WHEELER C. BOOHER

Grave marker for Wheeler C. Booher in Plot XII, Row D, Site 14 of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear (New Castle county), Delaware.

Wheeler enlisted in the Army at Fort Thomas, Newport, KY on 6 November 1942. A parachutist duty volunteer, he was assigned to Company D, 508th PIR.

On 5 April 1954. Pvt Booher went AWOL for two days.  Whether due to that or other considerations he was transferred on 17 October 19443 to the 69th Infantry Division, at Camp Shelby, MS..

After the war, Wheeler married Ms. Rose Scalise in Washington. DC on 23 October 1946.
