CARL M. BOOR
Carl M. Boor,86, went home to meet his Maker on Aug. 21, 2007. Carl was a veteran serving in the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He spent 30 years working at, and retired from, Boeing. He was also a 50 year plus Mason. The joy of his life of flying planes. In retirement, he enjoyed his dogs, grandchildren, traveling, gardening and pestering his wife. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Annie Boor; daughter, Shirley L. Boor; son, Carl O. Boor Jr.; sister, Opal York; son-in-law, John M. Riker; grandson-in-law, Ricky Boggs; great-granddaughter, London Church and great-great-grandson, Jordan Gunter. He leaves his wife of 66 years, Mary; his children, Ginny, Kay, Kathy, Theresa and Carla; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Affinity Mortuary, 2310 E. Lincoln; graveside service 1 p.m. Friday, Girard Cemetery, Girard, Kan. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the Kansas Humane Society, 4218 Southeast Blvd., Wichita, KS 67210. Because of spirit led volunteers, Carl was able to attend Bible studies and renew his faith. We, the family, THANK THEM!

Grave maker for Carl M. Boor in the Girard Cemetery, Girard (Crawford county), Kansas.

Carl enlisted in the Army at Ft Leavenworth, KS on 19 July 1944.

Pvt Boor was transferred from the 51st Reinforcement Battalion to Company C, 508th PIR

His military decorations include the Good Conduct Medal.
