THEODORE F. BOSSERT

Grave marker of Theodore F. Bossert in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover (Luzerne county), Pennsylvania.

Theodore enlisted in the Army at Wilkes Barre, PA on 21 January 1943 and was assigned to Company C., 58th PIR.

Pvt Bossert was wounded in action on 23 October 1944 and was evacuated to a field hospital.  On 29 November 1944 he was transferred to the Parachute Replacement Regiment at the Parachute School, Ft Benning, GA.  He did not return to the 508th.

His military decorations include the Purple Heart as well as the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Bronze Service Arrowhead device awarded for participation in Normandy assault.
