JOHN N. BOUEY

Grave marker for John N. Bouey in Plot GET 2 g36 of the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma (San Mateo county), California.

Born in Canada, John enlisted at San Francisco, CA on 20 October 1943.

His initial journey through basic training and jump school are unknown but on 8/10/1944 he was transferred from the 11th Replacement Depot  to Hq 2nd, 508th

Pvt Bouey was awarded the Brose Service Arrowhead device for the Holland campaign and Airborne operations and apparently also saw action during the Ardennes campaign.

He was discharged on 22 March 1946 and returned to San Francisco.
