CHARLES E. BOWMAN
Charles E. "Jack" Bowman, 77, died Nov. 10, 2000, at his Raymond NH home of kidney failure and emphysema. He was born Oct. 15, 1923, in Detroit MI, the son of Delmar and Gertrude (Baron) Bowman, and had resided in Raymond since 1962.

Mr. Bowman served with the U.S. Coast Guard for 23 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Europe with the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anne C. (Grimes) Bowman of Raymond; son Terry A. Bowman of Stratham NH; and one grand-daughter.

He was predeceased by his son Dell Bowman and daughter Cathren A. Bowman.

Charles enlisted in the Army at Buffalo, NY on 26 July 1944.

He apparently was initially assigned to the 101st Airborne Division and in the latter half of 1945 was transferred to Company F, 508th PIR where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal in General Order 12, dated 28 February 1946..
