HARRY L. BOWMAN

Record of interment and grave marker for Harry L. Bowman in Section M, Site 199, Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth (Leavenworth county), Kansas.

Harry enlisted in the Army at Fort McPherson, Atlanta, GA on 14 Aug 1940 and volunteered for parachutist duty.

On 16 October 1942, Pvt Bowman was transferred from the 507th PIR to Hq 1st, 508th PIR as a member of the cadre team.

On 21 March 1944 Pvt Bowman was admitted to the 30th General Hospital Mansfield, England for an undisclosed illness.  On 19 April 199454 he was transferred to 12th Station Hospital APO 513 US Army.  Six days later he was transferred to that hospital's detachment of patients and did not return to the regiment.
