Bettylou Bateman Is Engaged To William Boyd

   Springdale, May 6 --- (Special)   Mrs. J. H. Baleman of Springdale announces the engagement and approaching marriage of her daughter, Bettylou. to William Edward Boyd, Jr., of Tucson, son of Mrs. William Edward Boyd, of Vicksburg, Miss.
   Miss Bateman was graduated from the Springdale High School and the University, she did graduate work at the University of Arizona, and is a member of the faculty of the public schools of Eloy, Ariz. She has sung with the Hollywood Bowl chorus, the San Antonio Opera chorus and is at present a member of the Casa Choral Society of Casa Grande, Ariz.
   Mr. Boyd is a senior in the College of Business and Public Administration at the University of Arizona. He formerly attended University of Maryland. He is a veteran of eight years Army service, three years of which were spent overseas with the parachute Infantry. He holds a reserve commission as major. The wedding will be an event of May 27 at the Grace Episcopal Church in Tucson.

   Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 30, 1975 at 10:00 am from the St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Rev. Ervin E. Little and Dr. William Hinson officiating.
   Interment will follow Services in the Fort Benning Cemetery. Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home in Columbus, Georgia in charge of arrangements.
   Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Betty "Toni" Boyd; two daughters. Miss Katherine Boyd and Miss Mary Boyd, both of Columbus; one son, William J. Boyd of Columbus; one sister, Mrs. Zelma Williams of Vicksburg, Mississippi.
   In lieu of flowers, those so desiring may contribute to the Columbus College Scholarship Fund.
