ARTHUR J. BOYUNG

Grave marker for Arthur J. Boyung in Plot SS17, Forest Hill Cemetery, Wisconsin Rapids (Wood county), Wisconsin.

Pvt Boyung, Co D, was wounded in action in Normandy on 3 July 1944 and evacuated.  He returned to the company on 30 August 1944.

He was reported as missing in action on 17 September 1944.  It was later determined that he had been captured.  He was liberated in 1945

His military decorations include the Purple Heart and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
