EARL R. BRUCE

Earl R. Bruce, 64
   Services for Earl R. Bruce, Pittsburg, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. today in Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, Pittsburg. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Springfield National Cemetery.
  Mr. Bruce, a retired salesman, died at 4:29 p.m. Thursday in Mount Carmel . Medical Center, Pittsburg.
   Visitation' will be from 9 to 10 a.m. today in the funeral home in Pittsburg.

Earl registered for the draft in Polk county, Missouri on 17 February, 1943 and was inducted into the Army at Fort Leavenworth, KS on 13 November 1943.

He married Janie Laura Boggess in Phenix City, AL on 8 July 1933.

On 10 August 1944, Pvt Bruce was transferred from the 11th Replacement Depot to Company E, 508th.

On 13 October 1944, Pvt Bruce was seriously wounded in action and evacuated.

His wound was in the Femur, caused by a Machine Gun bullet and he skin grating and other procedures.

He was discharged with disability per Section II, AR 615-360.
