CHESTER L. BUCKNER

BUCKNER, CHESTER L., age 81, of Pinson, died December 21, 1999. He was a member of the #506 Irondale Masonic Lodge, and was a veteran of WWII.
   Chapel service will be Friday, December 24, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with burial in Marvin's Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Eric House officiating.
   Visitation will be Thursday, December 23, from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
   Survivors: son, Chris Buckner of Gadsden; several grandchildren; three nephews including Charlie Buckner of Texas; two nieces,
   Ridout's Trussville Chapel directing.

Chester registered for the draft in  Sedgwick (Harvey), KS on 16 October 1940.

On 3 May 1943, Chester married Paralee Bright  in McMinn county, Tennessee

On 22 August 1945, T4 Buckner was transferred from the 17th Airborne Division to Company G, 508th PIR. He was transferred to the 14th Reinforcement Depot on 11 October 1945 and was discharged on 8 November 1945.
