JEROME L. BURTON

Jerome Lincoln Burton
VIVIAN, LA - Memorial services for Jerome Lincoln Burton, known to many as Jerry, Daddy, and Chief will be held Saturday July 10, 2010 at Trees Baptist Church in Trees, LA. Pastor Mark Crook will be officiating, assisting will be Vannie Edwards. Burial will be at Cossatot Falls at 2 PM on Sunday July 11, 2010 on the Cossatot River at Wicks, AR. Arrangements are under the directions of Gorsulowsky Funeral Home.
   Mr. Burton died of a lengthy illness, July 6. 2010. He was born February 12, 1933 in Oil City, LA. He moved to Eugene, OR and lived there for 24 years, returned to Vivian, LA in 1982 where he resided until his death. He was a graduate of Oil City High School.
  He was a member of the 508th Airborne Regimental Combat Team for 3 years. He was a Master Mason and Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge in Creswell, OR.
   He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Henry Ann Burton of Vivian, LA., daughter Elise Ann Burton of Barre, VT, son Keith Burton and wife Bonnie of McLeod, TX and daughter Vickie Lynn Gareno and husband Tony of Springfield. daughter-in law Ann Burton of Rodessa, LA., two brothers Phillip Burton and wife Marion of Pleasant Hill, OR, John Burton and wife Shelia of Pleasant Hill. OR.
   He was preceded in death by his loving son Bruce D. Burton, Mike Burton and two brothers, Ralph Donald Burton and Glenn Burton. Jerry loved his family, friends, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly. Jerry was lovingly called Papa to his 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
