SYLVESTER CAFFEY
GILMER - Services for Sylvester "Red" Caffey, 86, of Gilmer, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2008, at Calvary Baptist Church in Gilmer, with the Revs. Ronnie Ryan and Madison Caffey officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Caffey died February 2, 2008, in Gilmer.

Born March 25, 1921, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a retired truck driver and deacon at Southside Baptist Church for more than 32 years. Survivors include his sons, Madison, Glenn, Tim and Perry Caffey; daughters, Lanette Warren, Vondie Ashley and Carma Higginbotham.
